Visakhapatnam: The government is aiming to establish 10,000 MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) units across the State and offering plenty of sops to the young entrepreneurs. As part of the mission MSME, the government is organising a MSME Conclave at Tirupati on December 13 inviting the young entrepreneurs to participate in the conclave along with their innovations and other projects.

Addressing a press conference here on Friday, In-charge Collector G Srujana said that the government has decided to allocate land parcels to promote the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises across the State. In order to provide more salaried and self-employment opportunities, the State government has kick-started the mission MSME targeting 10,000 units a year.

Already 350 young entrepreneurs have come forward and applied to district administration to establish MSME units and the units have been finalised in the district. The administration has decided to allocate land at Rachapalle village in Makavarapalem mandal and Gurrampalem in Pendurty mandal, Srujana said.

She called upon the young entrepreneurs to apply for lands to shape up their innovative establishments in the district. After screening the applications, the land allotment letters would be presented to the entrepreneurs at the MSME Conclave to be held at Tirupati, she added.

Meanwhile, the government also decided to present successful awards to existing MSME units in the conclave. The government would present the awards in nine categories of 18 wings.

Interested entrepreneurs and existing MSME units must apply with the District Industries Centre (DIC) before November 28, Srujana said. The prescribed applications have kept available at the DIC, she added. General Manager, DIC, Visakhapatnam A Ramalingeswra Rao and Zonal Manager, APIIC Yathirajulu were also present.
