Vijayawada: Air Show being organised by the Department of Tourism at Punnami Ghat continued on the second day on Saturday. The pilots have exhibited skills with four aircraft from 11 am. to 11.15 am and again from 4 pm to 4.15 pm. Saturday being weekend, Large number of spectators gathered at the Punnami Ghat to watch the event.

This is the second edition of the Amaravati Air Show. Compared to the previous year, the number of viewers watching the Air Show declined at Punnami Ghat and on Prakasam Barrage. Local residents in Bhavanipuram and Vidyadharapuram were disappointed when the Tourism department had allocated almost entire Punnami Ghat for VIPs to watch the F1H2O, which was held from November 16 to 18.

Common people had suffered many hardships because they were allowed to see the boat race from faraway places like Bhavani Ghat or Ibrahimpatnam. This may be one of the reasons for the poor response from the local residents to turn up for the Air Show. British pilots are exhibiting their spectacular skills in the sky over River Krishna.
