Adventure sports festival from Dec 14

Ongole: The Andhra Pradesh Tourism department is all set to organize adventure sports festival in Prakasam district, to promote tourism in various places including the beaches and temple towns.

Joint Collector S Nagalakshmi announced that the adventure sports festival will be held for three days in the district, from December 14 to 16.

The event will be held at the Kothapatnam beach from 9 am to 4 pm and parasailing, paragliding, speed boats, banana boats and leisure boats will be arranged there.

In the events at Mini Stadium in Ongole, the regional games like kabaddi, volleyball, kho kho will be held from 9 am to 5 pm.

Apart from the games, the Joint Collector announced that cultural programmes like musical night and other entertainment will be held at mini stadium in Ongole in the evenings.

She also informed that various stalls about the district culture, food items will be opened for the three days at the two locations and special programme will be held at other tourism attractions in the district.

The district tourism officer, Nagabhushanam and the DRO V Venkata Subbaiah invited all sections of the people to participate in the sports festival.
