Dokiparru (Krishna): The four-day Brahmotsavams of Bhu Sameta Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple at Dokiparru village in Gudlavalleru mandal were inaugurated amidst fanfare under the aegis of founder trustees Puritipati Venkata Krishna Reddy and his wife Sudha on Friday.
On the first day on Friday Snapana Tirumanjanam, Senadhipati Utsavam, Ankuraropanam, Pallaki Seva and other services were performed by Dokiparru former sarpanch Puritipati Veera Reddy and his wife Vijayalakshmi and Nagi Reddy and his wife Prasanna and a large number of devotees participated in the services.
As part of Brahmotsavams, Ashtadala Paadapadmaradhana Arjita Seva would be introduced in the temple which would be conducted in the sanctum sanctorum of the presiding deity every Tuesday.
PP Reddy, chairman of Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited (MEIL) and his wife Rama presented 108 gold flowers each weighing 50 grams for conducting the prestigious Arjita Seva.
Chief Executive Officer of MEIL PV Subba Reddy and his wife Sumalata presented a bed for the Ekanta Seva of the presiding deity.
The bed comprises engraving of a tortoise, eight elephants, four snakes, Vaikhasanacharyulu, Vishvaksenudu Anjaneyudu, Shankham and Chakram, Garudalwar and the great snake Nagendra Swamy as per Agama Sastra.
