Dokiparru (Krishna district): Priests of Bhusameta Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple conducted Dhwajarohanam on the temple premises at 7.30 am on Saturday, the second day of Brahmotsavam. Founder trustees Puritipati Venkata Krishna Reddy and his spouse Sudha, former sarpanch P Veera Reddy and his spouse Vijayalakshmi, Nageswara Reddy and his spouse Venkata Lakshmi and P Nagi Reddy and his spouse Prasanna followed by thousands of devotees adorned Garutmanta atop Dhwaja Stambham of the temple.
The processional deity of Venkateswara Swamy was brought to temple mandapam atop Suryapraba Vahanam. Later, the deity was also taken around the village on Seshavahanam and Hamsavahanam. More than 10,000 devotees were served Anna Prasadam on the temple premises. As part of Brahmotsavam, Dr Divi Hayagrivachary from Nandyala delivered the discourse on Brahmotsavam, Bhagavatam, Venkateswara Mahatmyam and Kartika Masam. P Govindaiah of Annamacharya Project, TTD rendered kirtanas of Annamaiah.
