Nara Lokesh hails Tata Trust services

Vijayawada: Tata Trust has taken up several initiatives like rural development, healthcare, safe drinking water and poverty reduction, said Minister for Panchayat Raj and IT Nara Lokesh at a meeting with the Tata Trust representatives here on Monday.
Speaking on this occasion, Lokesh said, "To provide safe drinking water to the people, NTR Sujala Sravanti plants were designed in Hub and Spoke model. The support and usage have increased for the NTR Sujala Sravanti plants. Sensors are set up to determine water quality and performance of the plants. There are 103 NTR Sujala Sravanti plants across the State.
The Tata Trust holds many programmes on safe drinking water and sanitation. The expertise of the Tata Trust is useful for running the plants and maintaining drinking water quality." Tata Trust representatives including AP Regional Manager Rajendra Babu, Area Manager Vivien Sikely and Programme Officer David Mendi were present.
