Anantapur: Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan declared that Jana Sena would going to storm to power in the 2019 Assembly elections. “You can take it from me that neither TDP nor YSRCP will come to power in the state.
When drought is ruling the roost in Rayalaseema, the Chief Minister is busy touring Delhi and other states trying to forge national alliances while Y S Jaganmhan Reddy is busy with his fancy padayatra. What Jaganmohan had done is running away from Assembly and failing to protect farmers in the capital region whose valuable lands were snatched away by the Chandrababu Naidu government.
It was I who went to the rescue of the farmers and prevented the Chief Minister from using the new Land Acquisition Act of the Central government from taking over farmers’ lands,” Pawan Kalyan claimed..
Participating in a well-attended public meeting at the municipal office junction here on Sunday as part of his five-day tour in the district which began here as part of a joint protest against drought and poverty with the Left parties CPI and CPM, the Jana Sena chief said that Chandrababu Naidu and Jaganmohan Reddy were cowards who are scared of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In his tirade against Naidu for not making any mention of severe drought conditions in Rayalaseema during his visit nor in any public meeting, Pawan said while the people were struggling with drought conditions in the region, Naidu was busy politicking in Delhi and other state capitals.
In an indirect reference to vote-for-note case in Telangana, Pawan quipped that just for one MLC election, he (Naidu) had ran away from Hyderabad to Vijayawada giving up our state’s right to remain in Hyderabad for the next 10 years. “He snatched away lands of farmers in the capital region.
When he came to power Naidu assured me that not an acre of land will be acquired from farmers as forest land of 18,000 acre would be used for capital building but contrary to his promise, he snatched away more than 55,000 acre fertile farmlands in the capital region and is making a merchandise of them by allotting those lands for unproductive purposes,” he said.
Launching tirade against the JC brothers in Tadipatri for their functioning as feudal lords and threatening people and officials, Pawan said these leaders must change as their days of hegemony over people through factionism had gone. This century belonged to the youth and it is they who would decide the destiny of their future.
He reiterated that he would see the end of TDP rule, saying that he is not scared of anyone and that he is prepared to give his life for the people. He said that no one is more important to him than people. He said that he even launched his party against his brother Chiranjeevi's wishes.
He said that if Jana Sena came to power, it would establish casteless schools and hostels for the poor. He would also establish multiple industries in Rayalaseema and create employment to jobless youth. The Chief Minister with great difficulty set up the Kia Motors and was giving undue publicity to himself. He said that locals were not being given jobs and labourers from Bihar and Tamil Nadu were being hired for the company construction work.
Pawan Kalyan will be jointly touring different parts of the district for the next four days with CPI state secretary K Ramakrishna and CPM state secretary P Madhu, who in their speeches hailed pro-poor struggle of the Jana Sena chief.
