Guntur: Students under the banner of Progressive Democratic Students Union on Monday protested at Collectorate here demanding that the government release mess bills, fee reimbursement, scholarships to the SC,ST,BC, Minority students and cosmetic charges to the students residing in the hostels immediately.
They threatened the government to intensify the agitation, if the government did not meet the demand immediately.
Addressing the gathering, PDSU state general secretary U Gani Raju said that during the last four-and-a-half years, the TDP government introduced ‘anti-people policies’.
He demanded that the government solve problems in the welfare hostels and release Rs 350 crore towards pending scholarships and fee reimbursement to the students.
