Ongole: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu laid foundation stone to the Andhra Kesari Tanguturi Prakasam University and inaugurated the Dr P Anand DSA Mini Stadium, before participating in the Jnanabheri programme at Ongole on Wednesday.

At the Jnanabheri, the education minister Ganta Srinivas announced that the Jnanabheri at Ongole is proved different with participation of 34120 students, more than the students participated in the earlier four Jnanabheri’s together. The chief minister appreciated the students who exhibited innovative ideas and grab hold of opportunities coming on their way. He appreciated M Manichandana from Ongole for achieving a job at Kajaani University in Finland, though she is still pursuing her engineering.

Manichandana explained the chief minister how the innovation Fellow program by the Stanford University helped her to excel the skills that required leading a team at the Kajaani University of Applied Sciences and later helped to get a job as an executive of operations in India. She thanked the chief minister for supporting her through the APSSDC and monetary help to go abroad. The chief minister also appreciated Naveen from Chirala, who created a cooling helmet for workforce. He assured all help for the startup by Naveen, who is in the process of patenting his technology.

The chief minister said that the Prakasam district, which has seven national highways going through, has bright future ahead. He ordered the APSCHE to complete the construction of Tanguturi Prakasam University, for which he just laid foundation, on war footing. He promised to lay foundation for the Ramayapatnam by the end of this month and see the Donakonda Industrial Hub and NIMZ at Kanigiri gain pace.

He also announced that the government will see to settle the issues around VANPIC soon and establish industries there also. He said that Andhra Paper and Excellence, to be setup at Gudluru mandal will invest Rs 20000 crore and provide large number of jobs to locals and boost industries around. He announced that the works of IIIT, horticulture college, veterinary college and pulses and millets research institute will start soon in Prakasam district.

The Srikalahasti to Nadikudi railway line, mining and granite industry will boost the opportunities in the district, he added. He said that he ordered to settle the subabul and eucalyptus farmers issue and announced that by encouraging micro irrigation and water management techniques, he will make the district fight the drought conditions. He also assured that providing input subsidy, completing irrigation projects he will support the farmers in the district.
