Vijayawada: MLA Bonda Umamaheshwara Rao said that the TDP will win 150 seats in the ensuing Assembly elections. Speaking to media persons here on Wednesday, he said the Telangana elections proved the trend that the ruling party would retain power.
He said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was implementing various welfare schemes for the benefit of people. Stating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had cheated the people of Andhra Pradesh, he said the electorate would teach a fitting lesson to the Prime Minister in the forthcoming general elections.
The MLA alleged that YSR Congress president YS Jaganmohan Reddy had nexus with the BJP. He said that the YSR Congress would get punishment for its secret pacts. "Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president Amit Shah could not impress the people of Telangana," he averred. He said the people of Andhra Pradesh also would teach a fitting lesson to the BJP and its alliance parties.
Asserting that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu could only develop the state, he said the construction of capital Amaravati and Polavaram project would be completed successfully. TDP leaders Koganti Rama Rao and K Nageswara Rao were also present.
