110 cyclone shelters in East Godavari-27 in Amalapuram area in the district

With the Phethai cyclone fast on its way , officials of the stake holdar deparyments have been making hectic arrangements to minimise losses in the district.

As part of this , arrangrments have been made for supply of protected water in addition of food supplies though shifting of people will depend on situation and need .

According to East Godavari joint collecto,r A. Mallikarjuna, out of 1.40 lakh Mt of paddy 80,000 Mt has been shifted to godowns in the last three days after collecting from farmers from their fields. Hectic effortd are bring made to shify the remsining paddy also.

Mean ehile district collector Kartikeya Mishra called for press meet at 8.30.pm today to give latest updates on Phethai cyclone.
