​Kakinada: A review meeting on the medical needs of cyclone-affected people in the wake of Phethai cyclone in East Godavari was organised at DM&HO office on Wednesday. Additional director of medical services Dr Gita Prasadini, joint director Dr Jayasri conducted the review meeting with the stakeholders in health care in the district.

The meeting discussed the need for conducting medical camps, supply of protected water in addition to sanitation needs in the entire district particularly the cyclone affected 14 mandals in the district.

The meet directed Kakinada municipal health officer (M HO), to initiate measures for special sanitation drive in the city. The MHO was also directed to initiate measures for prevention of dengue,malaria and swine flu cases in the city limits.

East Godavari in-charge DM and HO Dr Prasanna Kumar, additional DM and HO, Dr M Pavan Kumar, DIO, Dr Mallikarjun DPMO, Dr Kesav Prasad and other district medical officers attended.
