Kadapa: Cops arrested a 10-member gang on the charges of organising matka gambling and recovered Rs 25.5 lakh cash, 17 mobiles, 11 matka slips, a laptop and printer from them on Thursday night. The accused belong to Tadipatri, Jammalamadugu, Anantapur, Proddatur and Yerraguntla, Kadapa and CK Dinne mandal.
Addressing a press conference here on Friday, Kadapa city DSP Sheik Masum Basha said, on a tip off, cops conducted raids and arrested the accused while organising matka gambling at market yard in Devuni Kadapa in the city. The DSP also congratulated the Kadapa Urban CI P Hamid Khan and his men for their initiation in arresting the accused.
