Amaravati: Preparing ground to create an embarrassing situation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu asked the people to boycott the public meeting which is to be addressed by the Prime Minister in Guntur on January 6.

During a teleconference with the party leaders, including ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs and others on Wednesday, Chandrababu Naidu while directing them to stage protests against the Modi visit, observed that if the people do not attend the meeting, then that itself would be an embarrassment for the Prime Minister who did injustice to the state.

He said that the NDA government did not fulfil any poll promise during the last four-and-a-half years and Modi had not attended the launch of any welfare or developmental programmes in the state but now was visiting the state just before general elections to ask for votes again, which is nothing but his style of politics. “People must teach a befitting lesson to Modi,” he said.

The TDP chief asked the leaders to protest in a peaceful manner against Modi visit and take part in the statewide black badge protests against the BJP and Modi on January 1.

Noting that the TDP had conducted 10 Dharma Porata Deekshas against the Centre demanding justice to the state and insisting that the Prime Minister accord Special Category Status, he asked why Jana Sena and YSRCP had not done so and had not even questioned the Prime Minister on the issues.
