Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is going to hold the 19th Collectors’ conference here on Saturday. It will focus on welfare, infrastructure development, Janmahoomi- Maavooru programme and land issues. The Chief Minister will hold a review on awarding ranks to both urban and rural areas, informed the CM’s office in a statement on Friday.

Collectors’ conferences were actually held once in every three months during the last four-and-half years. But now, Chandrababu Naidu is holding them every month for the last couple of months. This trend will continue till the election notification comes into effect.

The main motive behind organising the monthly Collectors’ conference is to effectively monitor the implementation of welfare schemes and ensuring 100 per cent satisfaction level among people.

As the focus has now shifted from regular administration to political achievements, Chandrababu Naidu is going to discuss extensively on welfare, public distribution system, ration cards distribution, NTR Bharosa, Chandranna Pelli Kanuka, Yuva Nestam, Chandranna Bheema, housing and others.

As part of improving infrastructure, discussions will be held on solid waste management, LED street lights, drains, fibre grid, roads, drinking water, gas supply and toilets in schools.

In addition, discussions will be held on the agenda of the 6th Janmabhoomi-Mavooru programme. Subjects related to revenue issues and dotted lands will also be taken up.

The discussions will be held in three phases. In the first phase, discussions will be held on ration card distribution and housing. Later in the second phase, discussions will be held on service providers, Anna Canteens, free power up to 100 units, health and nutritious food, mother and child mortality rate, health issues, deficit of nutritious food, attendance in schools and mid-day meal scheme.

In the third session, discussions will be held on Pedarikam Pai Gelupu (Win over poverty), Janmabhoomi, Aadarana and Rs 10,000 monthly income to each family. Ministers, Secretaries and Collectors will participate in the one-day conference.
