Houses to all by 2022: Akula

Rajamahendravaram: Urban MLA Dr Akula Satyanarayana has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is planning to sanction house to each family by the year 2022 in the country.

As part of it, lakhs of houses are being constructed under Prime Minister Awas Yojana (PMAY).

Receiving petitions from the people seeking houses at his office here on Thursday, he said under PMAY the Central government was giving a subsidy of Rs 2.5 lakh to each beneficiary in the country.

PMAY scheme was a boon for the poor and middle class people and the government was constructing houses with all facilities.

Houses to the shelter less would be sanctioned shortly, he added.

BJP leaders Nalam Padma Sri, LB Sastry, KB Singh and others were present.
