Vijayawada: Divisional Railway Manager Dhananjayulu inaugurated Rail Sathi, a mobile application which is an end-to-end train travel assistance here on Tuesday.

He said that the pilot project was co-created with technology partner Thing Tronics Innovations Private Limited and the app guides the passenger to various station amenities.

It helps in navigating from home to station, indoor navigation to the station amenities like waiting halls, toilets, booking counters, ticket vending machines, information kiosks, cloakrooms, entry/exits, parcel office, RO water, medicines, milk, breastfeeding center, ladies waiting halls, retiring rooms, restaurants.

He said that soon this will provide navigation to your coach, personalised notifications about train delays, cancellations and seat upgradations.

Complaints can be given through the app and it provides access to women helpline and wheelchair booking.

It can be extended to all major stations over Indian Railways. This application can be downloaded from Google Play Store.

Anjaneyulu, Senior DOM, P Bhaskar Reddy, Senior DCM, Suresh Babu, Station Director and other branch officers were present.
