Guntur: Students under the banner of Telugu Nadu Students Federation on Thursday paid tributes to Savitribai Phule on the occasion of her birth anniversary celebrations here on Thursday.
ANU TNSF president Sravani and its general secretary Jeevan garlanded the portrait of the Savitribai Phule and paid tributes to her.
Speaking on this occasion, TNSF state president Brahmam Chowdary urged the women to draw inspiration from Savitribai Phule and try to be in forefront in all fields.
He reminded that the latter started schools for women and educated them. He felt that development was possible with the empowerment of women.
