Bhimavaram: The 55th annual jamboree of Goddess Mavullamma Thalli will be held for 34 days starting from January 13. The onion, vegetable and fruit merchants association along with the festival committee and the Mavullamma Devasthanam will be jointly organizing the festivities.
Addressing the media here on Thursday, festival committee president Perayya said that the temple and its premises were decorated with glittering illumination and colourful lights.
Bhajans, staging of plays, both mythological and folk, dances, film songs, felicitations to movie and stage artistes would be part of the jamboree.
Actors Naresh and Rajyalakshmi would be felicitated on different dates. The festival committee had been spending Rs 90 lakh on the conduct of the celebrations, he added.
