Vijayawada: Leaders of various parties and representatives from Muslim organisations on Saturday demanded for allocation more party tickets to Muslims fraternity based on their population ratio in the ensuing Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.

Muslim leaders from various parts of the State attended the meeting jointly organised by Integrated Forum for Muslim Rights led by Dr Imtiyaz Ahmed and Muslim JAC headed by Shaik Muneer Ahmed at MBVK Bhavan here on Saturday to bring all the Muslim fraternity under a common platform to fight for their rights.

The leaders, speaking on the occasion, demanded that the political parties should allocate tickets to Muslim candidates based on their population ratio.
