Guntur: Telugu Yuvatha activists here on Monday burnt the effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for ‘cheating’ the people of Andhra Pradesh and failing to grant Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh.

Telugu Yuvatha leaders led by Ravipati Sai Krishna burnt the effigy of Modi at Brundavan Gardens Centre.

Speaking on this occasion, Krishna said that people of the state were worrying about injustice done to the state by the Centre when the rest of the country was celebrating Sankranti festival.
