Complaint for political reasons, says Somireddy

Amaravati: Minister for Agriculture Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy stated that film star Prabhas condemned the alleged relationship between him and YSRCP leader YS Sharmila during 2014 itself. While addressing a press conference at Secretariat here on Thursday, the minister condemned the negative campaign against Sharmila in the social media.

At the same time, he said that almost all the people are victims of social media. The Minster said that even though Prabhas himself condemned the campaign about four years ago, the YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy and his sister Sharmila brought it into limelight now for political mileage. They thought that they would get sympathy through this issue and lodged cases against the TDP, he said.

He said that the YSRCP leaders would go down to any extent for their political and personal gains. This incident itself was a perfect example to prove their cheap politics in the State, he pointed out. He said that YSRCP has been maintaining a special social media wing to create and promote abusive content against TDP, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, his family and other party leaders for the last four and half years.

He further blamed that the YSRCP leaders have been posting abusive content against the TDP women leaders. Chandramohan Reddy said that some people on the social media have been behaving very indecent manner and they must be controlled.

For that, he suggested the Central government to bring a new and strong Act. At this point, the minister reminded that everyone knew how derogative language used by Jagan against the Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan. He said that there was no sense in making criticism against Chandrababu Naidu for the abusive content propagated in the social media against Sharmila.
