Ongole: A total of 784 candidates were offered employment in various companies in the job mela held at Ongole on Thursday, announced Shaik Meeravali, manager of Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation in Prakasam district.
He announced that 1136 candidates registered for the job mela held by APSSDC at Sri Nagarjuna Degree College in Ongole from 09.00AM to 05.00PM.
He said that 34 multinational companies attended for the job mela organized with the cooperation from the local MLA.
The chief guest and APIIC zonal manager Narasimha Rao said that the Collector and other officials were working to provide more employment by bringing many industries to the district.
He appreciated the APSSDC for organizing the job melas to address unemployment in the district.
He said that the APP paper industry, Ramayapatnam port helps in reducing the unemployment the district soon.
He advised the youth to learn the skills required for the industries and utilize the opportunities to get a bright future.
Sri Nagarjuna Degree College chairman V Ram Prasad, V Vasantha Lakshmi, CEO and MD of Caxton Facilitation Pvt Ltd Madhusudan Reddy, R Yogaiah Chowdary and others also encouraged the candidates not to get discouraged, if they failed in getting the opportunity.
They suggested them to try until they succeed utilizing the opportunities provided by the APSSDC in future also.
