Visakhapatnam: Dr Dean Van Leuven, Director of World Emotional Literacy League (USA) and author of best-selling book ‘Life Without Anger,’ said that emotional responses based on anger are not effective in solving interpersonal problems and they might actually complicate the issue.
Dr Dean delivered a keynote address at the symposium on ‘Life Without Anger’ organised in the Department of Psychology and Parapsychology of Andhra University, here on Thursday.
“The present-day world is conflict-oriented and this can be seen in day to day digital media interactions,” Dr Dean added. He emphasised the role of family, teachers and elders in providing a healthy and anger-free environment to children so that we can achieve a society without anger. Varsity VC Prof G Nageswara Rao said that life without anger is the need of hour and inculcating peace has to happen from childhood.
