Prakasam SP presents Smart Cop, Best Police awards

Ongole: Prakasam district superintendent of police Bhusarapu Satya Yesubabu presented the Smart Cop and Best Police of the week awards to police personnel in recognition of their exceptional skills in controlling crime and nabbing the criminals.

The SP presented the Smart Cop award to Chirala Rural CI P Bhaktavatsala Reddy, Karemchedu SI U Punnarao for arresting the accused in the gang rape and robbery case filed on November 25, 2018 and Ongole Taluk CI G Venkateswarlu and SI N Ch Prasad for solving the case of suicide of a student at Pratibha College in Pernamitta.

He also awarded the Smart Cop title to Ongole II town CI R Rambabu for his investigation skills in solving the cricket betting case of Gullapalli resident Y Narendra Reddy, along with Donakonda SI P Subbarao for arresting the four inter-state robbers involved in 31 cases and in recovering of property from them.

The SP presented the Best Police of Week awards to Kandukur town HC Sk Mahaboob Basha for creating awareness in public on various crimes with Melukolupu programme, Karemchedu police constable R Sivakumar for gathering leads in gangrape and robbery case, Chirala PCR driver P Ravindranath Yadav for his exceptional skills in driving during visits of VVIPs and VIPs to the district.

The SP appreciated their efforts and felicitated the officials with a shawl and certificate. He asked the officials to continue the spirit and encourage their fellow officers to do the same. The personnel thanked the SP for the recognition and promised to continue the efforts in controlling the crime.
