Markapur: A doctor joined hands with a policeman to kill the husband of his paramour.
According to Markapur DSP B Nagaeswara Reddy, Cumbum police received a complaint from a woman by name Nulaka Rajani on Wednesday that her husband Nulaka Jaganmohan Reddy didn’t return home after he went outside on Tuesday night.
Based on the complaint, the police found the body of Jaganmohan Reddy in a 60 feet valley near Rollapenta in Kurnool district limits.
Jaganmohan Reddy, a resident of Nagulavaram village in Ardhaveedu mandal got married to Rajani of China Obinenipalle in Bestavaripet mandal 12 years ago.
They had two children and shifted to Cumbum to start heavy machinery rental business, five years ago.
Meanwhile, Rajani found that her Intermediate classmate Dr Ulavala Bala Venkata Narayana is running Sri Venkataramana Multispecialty Hospital near their home and introduced her husband to the doctor.
From then onwards the doctor developed illicit relationship with Rajani. Recently, Jaganmohan Reddy came to know about his wife’s relation and warned them severely.
The doctor and the woman decided to eliminate him permanently and the doctor approached Ravuri Chalamaiah, a police constable working in III Town police station of Kurnool, who accepted the contract to kill Jaganmohan Reddy for Rs 15 lakh.
The constable then appointed three contract killers and reached Cumbum on Tuesday night. The constable went to the flat of Jaganmohan Reddy at around 11.30 pm, showed his ID and asked him to meet higher officials in a case.
After Jaganmohan Reddy entered the car, the doctor gave an injection of sedatives to him and his associates killed him by suffocating. They have thrown the body into the valley and returned to their places.
The doctor arrived at the house of Jaganmohan Reddy at 3 am and informed the woman about the killing.
The police also found that the doctor has misbehaved with many women while he was working at the Cumbum Government Hospital.
The doctor also runs a charitable trust. On Saturday, the Markapur DSP B Nageswara Reddy presented the accused Nulaka Rajani, Dr Ulavala Bala Venkata Narayana, and constable Ravuri Chalamaiah before media.
