Kadapa: District collector Ch Harikiran has said that the Gandikota hereditary festival would be organised on a grand scale for 2 days beginning from February 9.
Speaking after releasing a helium-filled balloon to mark the official launch of festival celebrations at Seven Cross Roads here on Tuesday, he stated Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had allocated adequate funds to highlight historical importance of Gandikota. Sobha Yatra will be taken out from February 8 to 10 at Kadapa, Proddatur and Jammalamadugu, he added.
The collector said that events like adventure sports and boat competitions would be conducted during the 2-day event. Joint collectors Koteswara Rao and Siva Reddy, trainee collector Gopala Krishna and others were present.
