BCs allege neglect, protest

U- Kothapalli: The East Godavari BC Welfare Association organised protest demonstration at the U- Kothapalli Mandal Parishad office on Monday, alleging neglect of toddy tappers and other sub-castes in BC social section.

Addressing the protest demonstration, president of welfare association Peddimsetty Venkateswara Rao alleged that the interests of BCs were being neglected in the mandal in the sanctioning of loans.

He also alleged that though there were 4 MPTC members and 3 sarpanches of villages, the mandal authorities have been neglecting their views in providing assistance to BC social sections, particularly toddy tappers.

The BC leader demanded that the government sanction loans to BCs who were deprived of this facility.
