Rajamahendravaram: Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Home Nimmakayala Chinarajappa lambasted YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy for making baseless allegations against Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

Speaking to reporters at Roads and Buildings Guest House here on Monday night, he said Jagan is unable to digest the tremendous response coming to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu from the people of the State, mainly from women.

He said the entire State is applauding the visionary leadership of Chandrababu Naidu and there is no space to YSRCP president
YS Jaganmohan Reddy. The Home Minister predicted that the future of Jagan as a politician is bleak.

The YSRCP may not even get Opposition status in the Assembly after the ensuing elections, he opined. He pointed out that the YSRCP president Jaganmohan Reddy lodged complaint against the police department and also on the enrollment of voters in the State. The voters list was prepared with transparency and any one can check it, he said.

Director-General of Police R P Thakur is working with commitment and striving for the welfare of police personnel. Promotions were given as per seniority and no one can be spectator if seniority is overlooked while giving promotions, he said. The government will give postings to the right man in right position and there is nothing to hide in this regard, he added.

He underlined the need to generate printouts from the EVMs to help the voter see if the vote he cast went to the party he intended or not. The people will then believe in election process, he averred.
