CM Naidu releases books on Kondapalli history
Two books namely, Kondapalli Charitraka Vaibhavam, and Kondapalli Charitra written by Dr E Sivanagi Reddy, CEO, Cultural Centre of Vijayawada and Amaravati were released by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu during the Kondapalli Festival on Monday
Vijayawada: Two books namely, Kondapalli Charitraka Vaibhavam, and Kondapalli Charitra written by Dr E Sivanagi Reddy, CEO, Cultural Centre of Vijayawada and Amaravati were released by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu during the Kondapalli Festival on Monday.
The book Kondapalli Charitraka Vaibhavam encapsulates the historical significance of the fort right from the Reddy period (14th Century AD) to the British period with authentic source material.
It also gives details on the fortifications and various structures inside with attractive illustrations. Kondapalli Charitra, a memoir of two former Karnams of Kondapalli, explains the history of the fort in a nutshell.
Sivanagi Reddy thanked Dr D Vizaibhaskar, CEO, AP State Creativity and Culture Commission for publishing both the books.
Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, Minister for Water Resources, Dr G Vani Mohan, Commissioner, Archaeology Department, MK Meena, Secretary, Tourism were present on the occasion.
