Amanchi may join YSRCP

Amaravati: Chirala MLA Amanchi Krishna Mohan is contemplating to join the YSRCP as the talks with party chief N Chandrababu Naidu have failed on Thursday at Assembly.

The MLA has decided to switch to YSRCP after interacting with Naidu. Though he maintained that he would continue in the party while interacting with media after his meeting with Naidu, he organised a meeting with his followers in his constituency to inform his decision to them.

He admitted that the YSRCP leaders have been in touch with him and were sending feelers, but said he had not met YS Jaganmohan Reddy directly. Krishna Mohan expressed his unwillingness to continue in TDP in a meeting with party senior leaders before leaving Assembly.

The sources in the party explained that the Krishna Mohan has differences with local TDP leaders and fears that even though the party gives him ticket, the cadres and others will work against him. This was the main reason for his shifting loyalty from TDP to YSRCP, say sources.
