Chennekothapalle (Anantapur): Minister for Women and Child Welfare and ICDS Paritala Sunitha has participated in a number of House Warming ceremonies in Chennekothapalle village e in Raptadu Assembly constituency on Saturday.

Speaking at a ceremony held at the house of Narasimhulu in the village, Sunitha said that the poor man's dream of owning a house is realised due to the magnanimity of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. The minister also disbursed cheques to new women's groups in the village.

She said that throughout the state 9.6 lakh houses are in the process of completion out of which 4 lakh houses have been inaugurated on Saturday. In Anantapur district 27,513 houses have been handed over to beneficiaries while 1,259 houses beneficiaries completed house warming ceremonies.

The minister said that 42,930 new women groups were given cheques worth Rs,368.24 crores in the State while in the district 2,166 new groups were given Rs.19.06 crores under the Pasupu-Kunkuma scheme.

In Raptadu 280 new groups were given cheques worth Rs.35.70 lakhs to 357 members. Sunitha said that the people are happy as Chief Minister doubled pensions to old-age people, handicapped and other sections.

The Chief Minister has been rendering justice to all sections of people by implementing welfare and development schemes. The TDP will return to power in the State again in 2019 elections, she said.
