Hyderabad: Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and people of all ages are gearing up to celebrate the occasion with their loved ones. Cashing in on the high spirit of Valentine’s Day frenzy, TEA Cares Foundation conducted Valentine’s Day Bash at Taj Faluknuma to raise funds for children from marginalised sections.
The couples only gala was curated to celebrate relationships with exemplary food, drinks, music over a fun evening.
The couples at the gala were socialising over drinks and soulful Sufi music played live while soaking in on the enchanted views of the city from the balcony of the magnificent Faluknuma Palace.
Shilpa Rao, Secretary of TEA Cares Foundation said, “the foundation was started by Expats in 2007 and we support five different NGOs in Hyderabad.
As TEA Cares we have volunteers and expats, we weekly go and support this NGOS by teaching them arts and crafts, soft skills, etc. We have annual fundraisers like this to support the cause which we are pursuing.”
About the event, Shilpa said, “the invite is for 45 couples and we are hosting a curated 5-course dinner on 101 dining table. We handpicked the couples, who are really interested in the cause and then all these proceeds will go to the NGOs that we support.
At this event, we also unveiled our new venture Helping Hands, where we will invite youngsters from age 16-21 to be volunteers for the foundation. The youngsters are future of this nation and we will help them in making our nation a better place.”
