Conduct polls as per EC norms: DIG to officials

Kakinada: Eluru Range DIG CM Trivikrama Varma asked the police officers to follow the Election Commission (EC) guidelines strictly during the conduct of elections in the state.
Participating in the review meet organised at East Godavari police conference hall on Thursday, the DIG asked the officials to initiate measures for implementing bind over cases on history shelters and on persons with bad character.
Besides this, the DIG directed the officers to intensify patrolling to check movement of suspicious elements.
Trivikrama Varma directed the officials to implement NBWs without any delay.
He asked the police officers to keep constant vigil on sensitive, hyper sensitive areas for conduct of free and fair polls.
District SP Vishal Gunni asked the officials to strictly follow the directive of DIG for smooth conduct of polls.
