The event will be conducted for two weeks on a large scale till February 28.
According to organisers, seer of Sripeetham Paripurnananda Swamy will conduct the rituals. City MLA V Venkateswara Rao, corporators Sunkara Siva Prasanna will attend the pujas on all days.
Chief priest Vijay Kumar Sarma appealed to the public on Thursday to attend the Maha Kumbhabishekam pujas being conducted for the first time.
