Relocation of 77 polling stations proposed

Kakinada: District Collector Kartikeya Mishra requested the representatives of the recognised political parties to give their suggestions on location changes of 77 polling stations proposed out of 4580 polling stations in East Godavari.

Addressing representatives of various political parties at the Collectorate on Tuesday, the Collector said that these proposals have come from the returning officers due to dilapidated conditions in the polling stations.

The Collector said that necessary steps were taken such as nearest location to voters and facilities in the building while identifying the new locations.

The Collector requested representatives to give their suggestions in writing on the proposed changes.
