Vijayawada: 5-year-old slips from train, dies

Vijayawada: A five-year-old boy succumbed to injuries after slipping from the running train near Vijayawada railway station on Wednesday. According to GRP police, the victim has been identified as Kovuri Viswanath, son of K Srinivas, the native of Chevitikallu village, Kanchikacharla mandal, Krishna district.

The family went to Visakhapatnam to attend a marriage. The mishap took place while the family was returning to Vijayawada station. The child accidentally slipped from Simhadri express and died of injuries. The body was sent to the government hospital for post-mortem. Srinivas is working in a private company in Vizag.
