Sports encourage spirit of healthy competition

Visakhapatnam: Inter Circle Table Tennis Tournament 2018-19 hosted by the AP Electricity Corporations Sports Council, Visakhapatnam was concluded here on Wednesday.
APEPDCL Director B Seshukumar distributed the mementoes to winners of the tournament. Speaking on the occasion, he said that everyone should make it habit of sports and physical exercise in their part of life.
He congratulated the sports council for well organising the tournament. As per the suggestions of the women director, APEPDCL Shoba Hymavati would also allow women’s participation in all kinds of sports tournaments to be held in future, he said.
Director (Finance) TVS Chandrasekar said that tournaments develop and encourage the spirit of healthy competition and unity and it would help the organisation to develop marginally. He congratulated all 14 teams of APTransco, APGenco, APSPDCL and APEPDCL.
In the team event, Machkund Hydro Electric Project, bagged first place and Dr NTTPS bagged second place and Operation Circle, Vijayawada stood in third. In the open singles S Jagadeesh and Madhava Rao, Machkund Hydro Electric Project won first and second place respectively.
In open doubles, S Jagadeesh and M Madhava Rao team, Machkund Hydro Electric Project won first place. Mahesh and Srinivas team, Operation circle, Guntur and Adinarayan and Rafi, Dr NTTPS teams have come in second and third places respectively.
