Security for upcoming elections reviewed

Chittoor: Vellore DIG Anitha convened a meeting to review security for the upcoming general elections in which Chittoor SP Vikrant Patil and Vellore SP Pravesh Kumar also attended.
Speaking on the occasion, the Vellore DIG said people from Chittoor district visit Vellore every day for their needs and stated several towns and villages of Chittoor district are located on the borders of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu states. The Vellore police would extend full cooperation for smooth and free conduct of polls in Chittoor district, Anitha assured Vikrant Patil.
The Chittoor SP said that he was very much pleased over the assurance given by Vellore police. He stressed on the need for setting up 18 interstate check posts. Vellore SP Pravesh Kumar explained certain issues between Chittoor and Vellore police should be sorted out for better coordination. Chittoor DSP Ramanjaneyulu and several police officials from the district have participated in the meeting.
