Planning another big protest against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the state during his proposed visit to Visakhapatnam on March 1, TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu directed his party men to question on the injustice done to the state by the Centre over railway zone, Special Category Status SCS and others
Amaravati: Planning another big protest against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the state during his proposed visit to Visakhapatnam on March 1, TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu directed his party men to question on the injustice done to the state by the Centre over railway zone, Special Category Status (SCS) and others.
Speaking in a teleconference with party leaders on Wednesday the Chief Minister said, “The Prime Minister is coming to Visakhapatnam on March 1. A Joint Action Committee (JAC), formed recently, has been conducting protests, rallies and deekshas for our rights.
We will support JAC movement for the state’s rights. The BJP ignored the Visakhapatnam railway zone for 5 years, neglected Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada Metro Rail projects. But the Centre has given two Metro Rail Projects worth Rs 7,000 crore for Madhya Pradesh.”
Reacting on YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s housewarming in Amaravati, Chandrababu Naidu said that Jagan was coming to state to settle after five years of capital formation.
“YSRCP is creating confusion among public on the capital. They announced that they will put Amaravati as capital in their manifesto now. This is suspicious. What is the purpose behind talking about it in the manifesto?,” he said.
Naidu said capital construction works in Amravati are rapidly progressing, trunk infra works worth Rs 50,000 crore were going on. “Auxiliary roads, underground drains, parks, High Court, Secretariat with 5 towers, the Buddhist Stupa and more are taking a form in Amaravati. We have been ruling from our own capital for the last 4 years and it is well connected to all the districts,” he said.
Taking a strong exception to party leaders promising to keep Amaravati as capital, he said, “Is it correct to create myths about Amravati now? Why creating confusion over capital with your manifesto? This shows YSRCP’s malice. Jagan did not come from Hyderabad, he does not live here unless there is a palace. Jagan stays in the royal palaces only, no matter where he goes, Lotus Pond, Bangalore palace, Pulivendula Palace and now another palace in Amravati.”
Naidu criticised that Jagan has interest only in palaces and the party is not for the poor. Jagan did not have any concerns for the public service, he said.
TDP supremo said YSRCP was mobilising people for the Prime Minister’s public meeting at Vizag. “They have taken people to Guntur meeting also. It should be exposed. All categories of people should be alerted. TDP will fight for state interests,” he added.
