Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh Special Investigation Team (SIT) decided to speed up its inquiry into Seva-Mitra App data case. The three-member SIT team headed by Balasubramanyam met Director General of Police RP Takur here on Friday.

It may be noted that the SIT was formed by Andhra Pradesh government to inquire the case after receiving complaint by Telugu Desam leaders as its data was stolen by Telangana government.

The Telugu Desam lodged a complaint against the Telangana government and also YSR Congress for forcefully stealing its party workers and sympathisers data. In this backdrop, DGP RP Thakur reviewed the case and SIT formation in the meeting.

The meeting decided to set up a special office for inquiring the case. SIT chief Balasubramanyam said that the inquiry would be conducted on the facts and evidence. He said that the DGP also directed them to conduct inquiry on facts and available evidence base.

He also said that no one could steal the Aadhaar data information. If anybody has taken such data, it would be traced out as per the available system, he said. He said that there was no time bound to SIT to complete the investigation.
