Kakinada: The Chintur subdivision police in East Godavari agency, as part of community policing programme, distributed electronic weighing machines under ‘Angadi Cheyuta’.
The sub division police distributed these machines at Edugurallapalli sandy in Chintur mandal as per the direction of East Godavari SP Vishal Gunni.
The effort is aimed at providing the tribals and other villagers with free digital electronic weighing machines in order to eliminate exploitation of tribal by local sandy organisers and contractors who use manual operated weighing systems.
OSD Chintur Amit Barddar, subdivision police officer Dr Dilip Kiran and other police officials of the division participated the distribution of weighing scales.
