2. Maruti DZire
There are two engine options in the Dzire- a petrol and diesel. There is the 1.3-litre Multi-jet diesel engine which now has improved fuel economy, which according to ARAI now stands at 23.4kmpl! The petrol gives 19.1 kmpl. The A/T petrol give the least economy as expected, the diesel is clearly what you want if you want efficiency. All variants of the Maruti Swift Dzire are pretty much feature-laden and full of the expected technical specs. Engine specs include an engine of 1248, which musters up a torque measuring to 190Nm@2000rpm and maximum power of 74bhp@4000rpm.
The engineers at Maruti gave Swift Dzire the best of technical specifications. Maruti Swift Dzire ZDI is 5 Speed geared, with Manual transmission, Ventilated Disc brakes at the front and Drum brakes at the rear along with McPherson Strut front suspension and Torsion Beam rear suspension, making it a rather safe drive.
3. Maruti Ritz
Ritz also uses the same FIAT derived multi-jet unit that displaces 1248cc and puts out 75PS of power with 190Nm of torque. . It also has a respectable ARAI rated economy of 23.2kmpl. The NVH levels of the diesel version are good and the engine is pretty smooth and silent for a diesel unit. It is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. There is also a petrol engine which is also available with an automatic option. The mileage of the automatic is 17.6 kmpl. When it comes to suspension, the high seating position and a relatively light steering makes the Ritz easy to drive in traffic. It isn’t as agile as the Swift Low speed ride on the lower variants is good due to their tall tyre walls though on the ZXI, the undulations, especially sharp ones, are easily transmitted into the cabin. High speed stability is pretty impressive and the Ritz feels at home at triple digit highway speeds.

But if you apply more speed, things go a bit downward in the Eon. The Eon has a fuel economy of 21.1 kmpl, as certified by ARAI. In the city if you keep it in the right gear and drive sedately the Eon will deliver fuel economy in the region of 17-18kmpl easily.
