The ‘BFI-National Safety Ride' is an initiative under the ambit of South Asia’s largest bike festival, the Bike Festival of India (BFI), which is being organised in association with Rhiti Sports Management and Event Capital.

The riders - 6 males and 3 females - halted at the dealership of Triumph Motorcycles, which is the official bike partner of the event, in the city and interacted with biking enthusiasts and citizens on wearing helmets and giving safe biking tips.

Vimal Sumbly, managing director, Triumph Motorcycles India Pvt. Ltd, said, “Owning a motorcycle is just the beginning of a beautiful relationship. Riding safe ensures that relationship last forever. We want riders to be well aware of the importance of safe and responsible riding, I think it is a great opportunity to educate and make more and more bikers ride safe every day.”

The riders had already visited Delhi, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Surat, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Ooty, Kochi and Chennai so far. From Hyderabad they would be heading towards Rajahmundry before reaching Kolkata for the final leg and end the journey back at New Delhi, where the ride was been inaugurated by Indian cricketer Ishant Sharma on August 31. With this, the BFI National Safety Ride would have covered a massive distance of 8,170 kms in just 30 days.

The National Safety Ride will then move into the main event, ‘The Bike Festival of India’, which is scheduled to take place on October 4 and 5 at the Buddh International Circuit (BIC), Greater Noida. Biking enthusiasts and passionate riders can register for the event as well as buy tickets available at bookmyshow.com.
