Control Your Gear Shifts
In order to improve the mileage of your bike you always have to make the correct gear options whether in traffic or on an empty highway. Your gear Shifts decide the ways your bike intake the fuel . Never ride on a lower gear until required. Don’t always look for the up-shift power when you need to overtake vehicles rather up-shift whenever possible.
Get your Tank Filled in Early Morning
Getting your tank Filled Early morning as it will affect you fuel’s density , so as the temp early morning is low this will help your fuel to give you some extra kilometers while driving, and fill fuel at once, not 100Rs morning and 100 Rs Evening, as petrol Evaporates Quickly when u fill the next time
Watch your tyres
Ensure that your tyres are filled up to the prescribed PSI pressures specified by the manufacturer. Low air pressures increase your tyre’s footprint increasing drag and reducing economy. On the other hand higher air pressures can increase wear and tear on your tyre and also result in a harsh ride quality. Air pressures can fluctuate with change in temperature so do keep checking your tyre pressures frequently
No Hard Braking
This is a point specially for those riders who like to pull there bikes hard on an empty 1-2 km piece of road as they firstly accelerate there bikes vigorously followed by sudden braking this causes a huge impact on the engine, this type of driving also result in frequent gear changes which ultimately results into wastage of fuel.
Ride your Bike in the top gear and within a speed of 40 to 60
Always try to ride your bike in the top gear and within a speed of 40 to 60 kilometres per hour. Avoid increasing speed above 70km/h
Turn the engine off at traffic signals
Turn the engine off at traffic signals. Turn it on about five seconds before the signal turns to green
Watch your style
Ride in a smooth manner, progressing gradually through the gears ensuring manufacturer recommended engine rpms and speeds are not exceeded. Don’t be in a hurry to bang through the gears since that will reduce your economy,Do not push the throttle too much during the first three to five kilometres of your journey. The engine will be still cold and will need more fuel to deliver fuel.
Use the choke during the initial part of the day
Use the choke during the initial part of the day as the engine will be lightly lax. The Choke will provide sufficient lubricant to the engines parts providing a smoother performance
Watch your weight
Watch the weight that you are putting on your poor motorcycle. Do not strain the engine unnecessarily by adding on more weight. So, no more than two people on the motorcycle please. Your own weight as a rider matters too. So keep it down, and your motorcycle will give you good efficiency and keep you healthy too.

Frequently change the engine oil as advised
Frequently change the engine oil as advised by the manufacturer. The gap between each engine oil change will depend upon the type of oil you use, your driving style and the environment.
