Bajaj Auto might have taken a hit in terms of market share but the company has a slew of products lined up which will ensure it maintains its profitability in the 2-wheeler space. While the Discovers haven’t received a stellar response, the same can’t be said about the Pulsar as the RS 200 has racked in 1500 bookings already.

The good news for Bajaj fans is, the RS 200’s positive response is in spite of sales commencing in a few cities only, once it’s available pan-India, the new fastest Pulsar is sure to set the sales chart on fire. Before we could take a deep breath after riding the Pulsar RS 200, Bajaj Auto is ready with the next Pulsar, the Adventure Sport. The launch is tomorrow, the 14th of April and the company has started teasing the motorcycle on its social media pages.

We will be reporting live from launch along with running a live webcast on MotorBeam. But there is a surprise, tomorrow might not be the launch of just one Pulsar because in their invite, the company states ‘new Pulsar range’ so we could see more than one Pulsar being launched, maybe the 150 AS and the 200 AS.

The Pulsar 200 Adventure Sport (AS) will sit between the NS and RS in the company’s 200cc line-up. It will draw power from the same engine as the 200 NS which is likely to use a carburettor, producing 23.5 PS of power and 18.3 Nm of torque. The motorcycle gets a half-fairing, a large windscreen, projector headlight, underbelly exhaust and no body graphics.

It also misses out on a tyre hugger which is very much welcome and ABS is unlikely to be offered. We hope Bajaj tweaks the suspension for long travel so that this motorcycle can be used for the purpose that its name suggests. Expect the Pulsar 200 AS to be priced at around Rs. 1.05 lakhs (ex-showroom).
