Introduced internationally in June last year, Audi India has launched the 2015 RS7 Sportback facelift in the country priced at Rs. 1.4 crores (ex-showroom, Delhi). Monstrous power coupled with a coupe roofline, the 2015 RS7 facelift comes with comprehensive upgrades to the exterior and interior.

The 5-door performance coupe gets a sharper profile than the outgoing version with the new six-point single-frame grille with honeycomb mesh that extends up to the bumper while the most prominent addition are the new T-shaped LED lights while the Matrix LED headlights are available as an option. The front also gets larger air intakes on the bumper.

The side profile remains largely the same as the original model retaining the coupe roofline while the rear gets new tail light inlays along with LED turn indicators that are available as standard. While the 2015 RS7 comes with 20-inch alloy wheels, customers can also ask for the 21-inch cast aluminium wheels offered as optional. The sporty Audi is being offered in four new paint finishes including the metallic Floret Silver, Glacier White, Mythos Black and Sepang Blue.

Inside the cabin, the new Audi RS7 facelift has received subtle changes that do lend some freshness to the interiors. The five-seater gets a revised instrument cluster, air-con controls, new gearshift paddles and a Quattro emblem on the instrument panel. The infotainment system has seen some significant improvements with the new heads-up display unit, touchpad controller (MMI Touch) and an updated MMI Navigation Plus. The audio system comes from Bang and Olufsen.

Powering the 2015 Audi RS7 is the same 4.0-litre TFSI twin-turbo V8 engine that is tuned to produce 560 HP of power and a whopping 700 Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels courtesy of the famous Quattro system via the 8-speed automatic transmission. The engine also comes with cylinder deactivation that has been improved and offers a marginal improvement in fuel efficiency.

In terms of performance, the RS7 continues to be the beast it is with 0-100 km/hr coming up in just 3.9 seconds while the top speed achievable is 305 km/hr with the option pack installed. Audi continues to bring in the 2015 RS7 facelift via the CBU route and the model rivals against the BMW M6 Gran Coupe as well as the Mercedes CLS63 AMG (not available in India) and is certainly one of the fastest ways to arrive at the destination while making dominating statement. Apart from the new RS7, Audi has a slew of launches planned for the year including the new generation Q7, Audi A6 among others.
