In a bid to increase the dwindling sales of the most popular product in the lineup, Nissan has introduced a limited edition of the Terrano SUV. The Groove limited edition as it is called gets a few visual changes along with a bit of extra equipment at no additional cost to the customer.

Since the production run is limited to just 250 units, it gives the Groove edition some exclusivity too which the owners would like. The Nissan Terrano is the pricier cousin of the car it is based on, the Renault Duster and both the compact SUVs sell in decent numbers in the market.

The Groove edition of the Nissan Terrano is based on the XL (O) variant which comes with basic safety kit including two airbags and ABS. Changes to the exterior include a matte black wrap on the roof of the SUV to give it a dual tone look, chrome highlights for the fog lamps, tailgate and tail lamps to add a premium touch to the vehicle.

Sporty looking Terrano branded fabric mats and LED scuff plates add some zing to the interiors. The highlight of the special edition however is the addition of high-quality speakers from Rockford Fosgate which would accentuate the music listening experience inside the vehicle.

The Nissan Terrano Groove edition remains mechanically unchanged and continues with the same engines as the regular variants. We would have liked to see a higher power tune in the limited edition which would have set it apart and would attract enthusiasts too.

The price of the limited edition remains the same as the XL (O) variant at Rs. 11.45 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) which means the accessories worth approximately Rs. 30,000/- are being offered free of cost. But, since there would be no discounts on the new variant, there would be a small price difference due to discounts on the normal variants of the popular SUV.
