The upcoming entry-level SUV from Hyundai, the Creta is one of the most anticipated SUVs in the popular segment in India. The Creta is expected to take the competition to new heights, much like what the Renault Duster was able to do when the latter SUV started selling like hot cakes. Hyundai is known for offering plenty of features in all their cars, other than the fact that the company’s vehicles are good looking as well. These same traits are expected to be carried over to the forthcoming Creta as well, due to which it might just end up becoming a best seller.

The Hyundai Creta SUV has been completely revealed through a bunch of latest spy shots. The company seems to have stopped camouflaging the vehicle as it nears its launch in India. The first noticeable fact is that the SUV looks almost identical to the model that retails in China, save for a few details here and there. It has been snapped up at the company’s manufacturing plant as well, revealing many details. The front has a three-slat chrome grille, silver accents over the headlamp cluster (similar to the ones seen on the Elite i20) which features projectors, LED day time running lights on the lower end of the headlamp unit and a vertical set of fog lights.

The SUV has also been given the black cladding treatment for that macho off-roading look, silver roof rails, ORVMs with integrated indicators, black A and B pillars and body coloured door handles. The tail lights share an uncanny resemblance with the same of the Ford EcoSport. The rear number plate housing has been capped by a thick chrome strip and both the front and rear bumpers have faux skid plates. The Creta is expected to launch in the festive season this year and will be powered by both the petrol and diesel engines that are found on the Verna sedan. The Korean SUV is expected to become one hell of a contender for the top spot in the compact or entry-level SUV segment.
