Amidst an extravagant launch of the updated Honda Activa i and Aviator at The Park Hotel, Somajiguda, Hyderabad, actress Taapsee Pannu was introduced as the brand ambassador for scooters manufactured by Honda. The actress was all ecstatic while she walked the ramp as the showstopper for the Fashion Flight (scooter of Honda signify flight- embodiment of the logo) where the vehicles made a fashionable debut.
Expressing her delight on being associated with the brand, Taapsee narrated how she was associated with the brand even before her career took off. “I still remember my Honda Activa, which was the first vehicle I bought way back in 2005. It was the vehicle on which I learnt to ride.
From daily rides to college to making my way to the modeling assignments, Activa was my reliable and trusted companion. I still ride it whenever I am back in Delhi. Such is my karmic connection with Honda. Even in my upcoming film RunningShaadi.com, I am once again riding an Activa i.”
“Looking back, I think learning to ride a two wheeler was the best decision I took in my life as the freedom of mobility allowed me to not only develop an independent streak, but also empowered me live my life on my own accord as a woman of today,” she continued.
The actress stressed on the safety campaigns the brand has been involved with and stated that safe driving is the key. Meanwhile, actor Akshay Kumar will continue to be the brand ambassador for motorcycles manufactured by Honda. “Today, as India is progressing, one in every three Honda scooter customers is female.
Every month around 75,000 female customers are joining Honda’s scooter family. We welcome the young and vibrant Taapsee Pannu as a new brand ambassador for taking forward brand Honda’s emotional connect especially with its female fans,” informed Yadvinder Singh Guleria, senior vice president – sales & marketing, Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India Pvt. Ltd.
